Kentucky Derby!

Okay so my official top five are:

1) Revolutionary- how can you not like the way this horse has been training and looking up to this race? I’m excited, I love love love this horse.

2) Orb- Same thing here, this horse is just floating over the track, he looks amazing, and has done everything right.

3) Will Take Charge- I don’t know, it’s just something about how he’s been training. He definitely wins the pretty pony award, he’s consistent, and he could pull an upset I believe.

4) Normandy Invasion- This horse has been training so aggressively in the morning, he looks pretty damn good. I’m a little worried he might not actually learn to relax if he’s THAT sharp, but I mean dang, he’s on the bit every morning. He’s ready to go.

5) Palice Malice- With blinkers on, and that pedigree, he could definitely pull off an upset. He looks great, and he seems to be training great. Despite the fact that I hate his name. ( have this belief that after Super Saver there can never be a horse with a name that bad) and I hate bad named derby winners, but it ain’t terrible :p

Why I left out:

Verrazano- He just looks like he’s been getting very hot during his workouts and he isn’t moving as smoothly as I’d like to see. At the same time he looks amazing off track, and it’s not like he doesn’t look good of on the track, I was just more impressed with the others. I could easily have him in the top 5 if I didn’t like that top 5 so much.

Goldencents- Tough because I think he looks amazing!! But I don’t think the racing gods will give O’Neil two wins in a row so I’m just leaving him out.

Java’s War- I mean it could just be me, but wow this horse looks terrible training over the track. I just don’t see it happening (Watch, now he’ll win)

Vyjack- Hating that post position for him, Best of luck.
